Ian has been in the film and TV industry since 1984, starting on Lifeforce at the age of nineteen.

He has done many major projects since, such as The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, where he was head of the rigging department with 70 men under him, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Tomb Raider II.

Working on the feature film ‘Alexander’, Ian started as a VFX rigger and worked up to Visual effects co-coordinator.

He has also worked on many TV series, such as Waking the Dead, The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, Primeval, Fallen Angel and many more.

Ian holds a level 4 security pass for all uk airports and government bonded warehouses.
